10 reviews for Anker 2.4G Wireless Vertical Ergonomic Optical Mouse

I don’t do a lot of PC gaming, so not sure how this would perform. For everyday work stuff, it’s pretty good. One complaint: I don’t have huge hands, but my pinky rests uncomfortably on the table surface. Which I had just a smidge more gripping real estate.

I am a drafter using autocad eight hours a day. I began to develop a weird tension in my right wrist from using a normal style mouse. I came across a similar style mouse as this in a store, and found this particular mouse. I am familiar with the Anker brand and the price is beyond reasonable for the fact that I no longer have that tension anymore. 3 points that I dislike, but in no way compare to the fact that it did relieve that tension, are: it’s super light. A little heft to it would be ideal, the front is rounded at a radius that lends itself to rolling. If you push with your fingers rather than at the wrist it tends to lift up at the back and roll on the front nose. Adding some weight would help there. Third, the low battery light, I’m just being picky but it blinks 14 times and once you’ve passed the low battery threshold it will do this every time you move the mouse, if you move it all day it will blink all day. I’m sure it doesn’t drain to much battery doing it but I feel like there’s a better way and the battery will last days after it starts blinking. All in all I’m very happy with this mouse.

I was a little hesitant buying this mouse because of several reviewers complaining about the left and right buttons being too hard to click. I decided to take a chance on it because of the price point, and I’ve purchased several Anker products over the years and always been satisfied. I’m happy to say I have no issues with the click. It is just right for me. I do have larger hands, so the mouse fits my hand just right. My wife tried it and the buttons and scroll wheel are a little too far for her to comfortably reach. It took me a day or two to get used to the vertical form. My muscle memory was well tuned to slide my hand low across my keyboard to grab my old standard format mouse, so I was constantly knocking the taller vertical mouse over (one time I knocked it completely off the desk) until my muscle memory eventually got re-programmed to slide my hand higher when reaching for the mouse. Also, I initially was having trouble with the precision of placing the mouse cursor in the right spot until I changed the Mouse settings in Control Panel (Windows 10) under Pointer Options to check the box to enable “Enhance pointer precision.” That made the difference. Now it works fine.I also wondered how to tell which of the 3 DPI settings was active, but I figured out that you can see the difference by quickly sliding the mouse pointer left and right and notice what the range of point movement is.Finally, it is taking a little getting used to double-clicking without the mouse sliding, but I’m slowly getting re-programmed to apply pressure the right direction as I double-click. It’s similar to the downward pressure needed for double-clicking a standard form mouse, but it initially feels a bit awkward with a vertical mouse since it’s held in a hand-shake position. All in all, I’m happy I made the switch to a vertical mouse and the Anker product is a good reasonably priced choice. The outstanding question is how long it will last.

This mouse is a real hand and wrist saver for the office! I use it for 8 hours a day with absolutely zero discomfort or problems. The smooth, brushed texture affords a solid grip that you can be gentle with. The DPI settings switch well. No complaints at all, and worlds better than a knockoff brand I’ve tried before!

This is now my third mouse of this model, after losing the dongle to the first one then the 2nd one just up and stopped working. While I haven’t tried, I don’t think I can go back to using anything else! This one angles my wrist very well and keeps me comfortable all day.

Vertical mice are definitely best for my wrist pain and this fits my hand so well. It’s sturdy, but not so heavy that it’s hard to push around. It’s too heavy for travel, in my opinion, so it stays on my desk. I had my first one for about six years before it started to die (admittedly after a soda exploded on my desk and all over the mouse.) The battery life is good and I usually change the batteries every few months. For reference, I use it about 8 hrs day, 5 days a week.I started having wrist problems at my first office job in my early twenties. A few years later, I ended up with damaged nerves in my arm. All of that means regular computer mice can cause pain. I have tried various wires and wireless mice but I prefer this one.

Best mouse I have ever had. This was my second one as my first one wasn’t wireless. It took some getting used to but my hand no longer cramps. Anker has some really good products (especially their usb cables)!

  8. Karen Larson

Having essential tremor made it difficult to use a mouse but this vertical mouse is perfect for me, I don’t shake with my hand in this position. A wonderful solution!

Every time someone walks up to my laptop and the reach for my mouse, they take a second look and are confused by it. It’s been an absolute joy to use, it took a few weeks to get used to using it. We’re so accustomed to the traditional mouse that I would float my hand to low when transitioning from keyboard to mouse, that I would knock it over. Once it because second nature, it was perfectly ergonomic.I made an effort to shut the mouse of daily, and in the three years I’ve owned it I’ve replaced the battery 3 times (use 5/days per week). On year three: scrolling wheel doesn’t function smoothly. Right clicking is intermittent in function.Overall 5 stars.

I had this mouse for years and it finally broke from shoving into a laptop bag so many times but it was very durable. It’s the only mouse I can use for comfort to work all day. I just ordered another one just like the one I had. You can’t beat that for the price.
